The woman’s pet cat meowed and cried out for aid when she heard unusual noises coming from the basement. When the noises continued for a while, the woman began to investigate what was going on.
When she opened the door, she discovered the cat and a baby in a box in front of her. While someone would undoubtedly arrive to assist, she appeared to be warming the infant with her body.
The mother immediately drove the infant to the hospital, but the cat continued to vie for the car for a considerable amount of time, clearly confused by the infant.
Unquestionably a noble action deserving of applause. The kitten, recognizing the infant was still in danger, saved him. Who would have guessed that the cat could have more humanity than the person who dropped the infant off in a box on the floor?
