After 12 Years of Tireless Work, One Man has Saved Almost 5,000 Animals.

Animal rescuer Manoj Gogoi, who resides in the Assamese settlement of Bochagaon in Kaziranga, recently saved a large number of animals. When a snake arrived unexpectedly in a corral in India in the past, they would have killed the animal, but today they would use gogoi..

According to TBI, a boy came to them holding a turtle and explained that while his family wanted to keep it as a pet, he preferred that it remain free in nature and as a result needed to be placed in its natural habitat. Dr. Naveen Pandey, Deputy Director of the Corbett Foundation, from the organization’s office in Kaziranga, is said to have recalled this incident.

For his exceptional efforts, Gogoi has received numerous honors. He received the “Wildlife Warrior” award from the Corbett Foundation in 2014, and he was the focus of the famed Assamese director Dhritiman Kakati’s documentary “The Man Who Speaks Nature” last year.

Goingoi said:

“I was born in the Kaziranga region of Assam. I was up in a setting that was naturally abundant with creatures like rhinos, leopards, stunning birds, and even deadly Himalayan snakes. Since I was a youngster, this place has seemed comfortable to me. I naturally grew to have a real love for nature

Gogoi has always had a very distinct idea of what he wants to do with his life and has worked extremely hard to make it happen.

Gogoi informed East Mojo the following:

He may become really agitated for me if someone warned him that I might go to jail for catching wild animals.

Gogoi made the decision to start his own organization, Naturalists for Rehabilitation of Snakes and Birds (NRSB), in 2007 since he was continually being sought out and contacted, sometimes at 2 a.m.

The Assam State Department of Tourism also employed this man as a driver, but in 2013 a course he took allowed him to land a job as a tour guide at a posh resort took in Mumbai.

He started receiving calls from various sources requesting money as knowledge of his group spread. Even though it’s a dangerous reptile, Gogoi uses her rescue efforts as a chance to raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding other species.

After learning about Gogoi’s initiatives in 2013, the aforementioned Corbett Foundation proposed setting up an office in Kaziranga. Gogoi was glad to take advantage of the chance because it would help the rescue efforts and also help him pay for his family’s expenses.

Over 5,000 animals have been saved by Gogoi thus far, and no matter how remote the request, he has never refused to help. All of his recoveries since 2007 have been recorded. without accounting for those from 2005 and 2006.

“I’ve learned the majority of what I know via experience, and every animal is special in some way. I have so far assisted in the calf rescues of popular tourist attractions including the rhino, leopard, deer, warthog, and jungle cat. I also rescued a 14-foot-long Cobra that posed a significant threat to my life.

The most significant rescue for this man so far involved three newborn kingfishers that had not yet opened their eyes.
