Spencer and Rocky were best friends for ten years. Simply put, they relished one other’s presence. .

They had never spent a night apart, their owner Beth Fisher said to The Dodo. Rocky and Spencer always walked together when they went out, shared a bed, and ate from the same bowl. .

Sadly, their partnership came to an end after a visit to the veterinarian revealed some distressing information.

Rocky, the blonde dog, had grown a huge malignant tumor inside of him. There was just one available course of treatment because the unfortunate discovery was made too late.

That day, Rocky had to be put down, Fisher said. Although it was difficult to comprehend Rocky’s unexpected passing, we can’t begin to fathom how difficult it must be for Spencer to have lost his little brother.

Spencer looked absolutely devastated.

Spencer has been waking up in the middle of the night to look for his brother since Rocky went away, according to Fisher. When he can’t find him, “and then he starts crying.”
Spencer had Rocky’s ashes scattered near where they used to sleep, but it was clear that she needed more time to deal with her loss.
Fisher then asked for a pillow with Rocky’s face on it for Spencer.
