Tanvi Gangadhar and Sumanth Gudaparthi knew they wanted Chai, their loving 2-year-old golden retriever, to be a part of their wedding as they prepared it.
He was chosen to be the ring bearer, and they even got him a tuxedo for the event.
Pandemic puppy Chai often feels anxious around large crowds of people. Knowing this, Gangadhar made sure his favorite tennis ball was always within reach throughout the day to provide solace.
However, Gangadhar was unaware that this tennis ball would ultimately find its way through her veil.
We even took a brief break in the middle of the vows when Chai accidentally dropped his ball down the stairs, according to Gangadhar, who spoke to The Dodo.” As everyone applauded when the officiant declared us husband and wife, Chai became anxious and eager, hiding behind my veil and dropping the ball, which resulted in the wonderful incident”.
Naturally, there were no ill wills.
All that mattered, according to Gangadhar, was that he was having a good time. “Our friends also adore him, so when he located the ball, the guests cheered him on.”

Gudaparthi was hesitant to adopt a dog in the past, but she and her husband now find it impossible to fathom life without Chai.
“We believe that because he particularly enjoys [dog friendly] curd rice, dosa, and idli, he was supposed to be adopted by a South Indian family”, according to Gangadhar. ” He met the bill well.”
Chai showers them with a lot of affection in return, and Gudaparthi and Gangadhar are determined to ensure that he receives everything he deserves.
Gangadhar added, “We put a lot of effort into giving Chai the greatest life. To give him plenty of room to go about, “we even moved into a bigger house with a backyard.”
Chai doesn’t have to worry about anything because his family loves him so much. And he will know exactly what to do if he is asked to take part in a wedding again in the future.
