“He doesn’t realize how cruel the world has been to him”

Chrissy Elder frequently visits her local shelter in Charlotte, North Carolina, to accept some of the neglected stray animals because she is accustomed to assisting animals in need through Forgotten, Now Family Rescue.

She recently noticed a small puppy by the name of Piggy, and she immediately realized that she needed to take immediate action to give Piggy some hope and the best opportunity for a new life..

Elder told The Dodo, “They stated there is another [dog] in a kennel in the rear as I was at the shelter.” He was in such bad shape and was so depressed.

Piggy spent five days in the veterinary emergency room after Elder helped him escape the animal shelter so that his terrible skin condition could be treated.

Three days a week, he received medicinal baths while living in a foster home, according to Elder. In order to treat an infection, he also underwent two doses of antibiotics.

Piggy has been receiving a lot of tender loving care, and Elder believes he may soon be able to anticipate a full coat of fur.

Elder observed, “We are starting to see some adorable little patches coming in.” “We don’t think he’ll stay here forever,” someone said.

Despite everything, Piggy is still happy to have another opportunity at life.

Elder said, “He’s the nicest baby. He’s completely unaware of how cruel the world has been to him. He didn’t even want to stand up on the first day. He now plays and runs. He is so joyful and eager to meet everyone, his piglet-like ears flapping in the breeze.
